11am - 12 noon - Context & Goal Setting
- What context do we work within and what is our individual and collective goals around land/animal management
- How do the textile choices we make affect the broader context
12noon - 12:45pm - Lunch (Bring your own)
1pm - 3pm Soil to Soil Textiles and impact on the climate and ecology
- What does our current textile system look like and how does this affect the natural world
- What role do sheep (and other ruminants) play in managing landbase, biodiversity and carbon sequestration
3pm - 3:30pm Coffee Break (coffee provided)
3:30om - 5pm Be the Change
- How can we play a role as farmer, mill owner, consumer, indy-dyer in supporting healthy ecosystems and a soil-to-soil approach
Cost: $50 - $75 (Sliding Scale)
Location: Long Way Homestead
This workshop will occur outside and participants should wear adequate/comfortable footwear and clothing for farm conditions. Please bring a pen and notebook and your own water bottle.
