Mini Loom Weaving Instructions
Make a slip knot with your warp yarn and secure it to the top left notch of the loom.
Continue warping the loom by going up and down with the warp yarn. Do not go around the loom.
warp the full loom until you reach the end and us a slip knot to secure the end of the warp yarn.
Take the first colour of weft yarn and cut approx 1m length and use the large eyed tapestry needle to begin weaving.
Use the needle to go over the first thread, under the second thread, over, under, over, under until you reach the end of the warp threads.
Continue from side to side reversing the needle’s path every row. For example if the first row is over-under-over, then the next row is under-over-under. Use the wooden comb to push down the weft threads after every row to make it even and smooth.
When you are at the top of the loom thread your weft yarn into the body of the weaving.
Turn the mini loom over and slip the loop threads off the slots. You can either tie them to make fringe, or weave them into the backside of your weaving, or even loop them onto something to hold your tapestry!
If you would like to change colour, simply cut the old colour halfway through your row. Rethread your needle with the next colour and thread it over-under through the same warp ends. Once you have used the comb to push it down work a few more rows - the overlap will disappear.
